Every 4 minutes: A discussion paper on preventing family violence in New Zealand

This is a discussion paper on what NewZealand can do to prevent family violence. Ittakes the position that family violence is asolvable problem. Family violence can beseen as largely a “symptom” of underlyingsocial and psychological issues, that areindeed multiple and complex, but areassociated with many of the drivers of othersocial concerns. In the end, there is a lot to begained for New Zealand by the unleashing ofthe social and economic wellbeing ofchildren, families, communities, businesses,and services that would follow the reductionor elimination of emotional, physical, sexual,and psychological violence that tangle andrestrain our homes and our relationships.
