This is the Waitaki Area as shown in the proposed Plan Change 5 to the Land & Water Regional Plan.The proposed changes seek to deal with the management of the effects of land uses, particularly farming activities, on water quality throughout the Canterbury region and the management of water quality in the Waitaki sub-region, and flows in Whitneys Creek. Proposed Plan Change 5 comprises two parts. Part A consists of provisions which apply throughout the Canterbury region. Part B consists of provisions that apply to the Waitaki sub-region only, and is proposed to be inserted as "Section 15B Waitaki Sub-region" into Section 15 of the Canterbury Land and Water Regional Plan.
