Evidence Base Strategy highlights improved access to data – and open data – as a key priority.
What we did (high-level)
Updated high-res historic traffic counts.

Published transport sector open data framework for public comment. #codesign
The framework will enable the entire sector to align efforts, prevent wheel reinvention, improve maturity etc. We have released an initial strawperson publicly, to collect feedback, suggestions etc.

Our third open data webinar looks at the funding and transport dashboard, which covers funding and performance data for numerous transport-related activities.

Presentations: Data Knowledge Hub and Open data workshop.
Took part in and presented at two inaugural events: the Data Knowledge Hub (Ministry of Transport) and the Open data workshop (Stats NZ).
Network graphing proof of concept: open data catalogue.
Completed a proof of concept for visualizing the open data catalogue as an interactive network graph.
This month’s fun fact: ~2.7x - Waka Kotahi funding increase on public transport in the last 10 years. 2020/2021 = largest increase.
